Grand Isle – Grand Isle free library “Mrs. Nettie Tobias, librarian. The recently established library (1911) has been classified and catalogued by Miss Bessie J. Allen, of that town, and reports an excellent circulation. It has 518 books and supplies 6 schools. School entertainment raised $30.84 for the library.” Vermont. (1913). Bulletin of the Vermont Free Public Library Commission. Montpelier: The Commission. Our Library is proud of its start in 1911 and looks forward to continued growth in 2019 and beyond! Now we have thousands of books for adults, teens and young children in our collection. Audio books can also be borrowed, and many can be downloaded for free online. Events for children support the community and allow our youngest patrons to socialize and develop early literacy skills. Programs are also available for adults and advertised in the local media and on our website. Thank you for continuing to support your local Library! |
